I posted the image of a geometric wall from
Weekday Carnival above in a
Favorite Space Sunday post back in November, but I keep revisiting the image for inspiration as I decorate my new apartment. If you ask me, a “feature wall”, or wall with a collection of artwork, presents many challenges; you have to find the right amount of artwork to display, make sure the pieces flow together, and then get the proportion and spacing down. It’s quite a feat- particularly in a rented space because you don’t want to damage your walls. I’ve seen it done well numerous times, but for the OCD decorator like me, the very thought is a nightmare. I finally found an image of the painting process for a geometric wall over on
79 Ideas, and I’m beginning to think that a painting DIY may be an easier, more affordable option than a gallery wall. What do you think?

I love how the patterns and colors were utilized throughout the remainder of the space!
This may be one DIY I’m actually willing to try, and if I do, I’ll be sure to post pictures. What do you think: should I go for it? If so, which colors should I use?
