DIY I’d Do: Crystal Photo Display Via ‘A Beautiful Mess’

Crystal Photo DisplayI have no problem admitting it: when my options to attempt a DIY project are either ‘do’ or ‘don’t’, my track record so far has been 100% in the ‘don’t’ column. I feel a little bit torn after uncovering this crystal photo display DIY on A Beautiful Mess because it has all the elements that captivate my “style ADD”. I see crystals- calcite in particular- (which I coincidentally happen to have a few laying around my apartment) that are not only my favorite color, they are my favorite hue: mint. And the ombre effect destined to occur when styling a cluster of crystals due to their inherent, natural differences? I may actually be turning a touch green with envy.

Here’s what you’ll need:

    • Crystals/rocks with a relatively flat bottom. Etsy is a great place to look for crystals- that’s where I purchased the green calcite I have laying around!
    • Wire- gold looks especially pretty here and makes a statement.
    • Needle-Nose Pliers
    • Photos you want to display!

Once you have your crystals and photos ready to go, there’s really only 1 step: wrap the wire around the crystal base allowing several inches to extend vertically (the height you would like to make your displays). Create a loop at the top of the wire to hold your photos.

What do you think? Would you give this DIY a try?
